Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij  said an atlas of cancer patients in the state is being prepared to make better arrangements for their treatment.

Registration of all such patients would be carried out for this purpose, he said while speaking at a workshop on development of an atlas of cancer patients.

He said the development of this atlas would provide figures such as number of cancer patients in the state, location, gender, type of cancer, among other details.

Vij said after the preparation of the atlas, door-to-door testing for cancer would be conducted in all villages of the state and the patients would then be registered.

Apart from this, all private and government hospitals have been directed to register all cancer patients and inform the officer concerned, he added.
