Health Dept launches campaign against COTPA violators
Kaithal: A team of Health department has recently launched a special campaign against those selling Tabacco Products in violation of The Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA) and recovered Rs 3300 as fine from erring shopkeepers.
Dr Surendra Nain CMO Kaithal said the team also imposed fined on Banks, Hotels restaurants for non- installation of “No smoking” Boards in their premises.

He said the purpose of this campaign was to keep the public places free from Tabacco smoke. He also appealed to the people not to smoke at public places so that people could be saved from the effects of passive smoking.
