Health Ministry decides Schedule for NEET PG 2018, check out details

With the NEET PG 2018 inching nearer, questions are arising in the minds of PG aspirants regarding the various aspects of the exam, including scheme, scope as well as procedure of counselling etc


A meeting was recently held at the Health Ministry, under the chairmanship of Arun Singhal ( Joint Secretary, Medical Education, which was attended by the stakeholders of PG medical courses, including National Board of Examinations (NBE), Medical Council of India ( MCI) OSD ( NEET), DME representatives of various states  and representatives of private medical universities.

The meeting saw delibrations being taken on the issue of admissions to MBBS, PG and SS courses in the country and 2017-18 being the first year, the meeting was called to learn from the experiences of this year and utilize it for better planning for next year, especially with regards to counselling.


With the deliberations, the Health Ministry has decided the schedule for completion of admission for PG courses which has been decided as following

It has also decided that NBE will prepare results for All India Rank, All India Quota Rank, and AIQ rank ( category wise) and will provide the results to the states

National Board of Examinations had already announced that NEET PG 2018 will be single day session exam as well as there will be negative marking in the exam.
