Health Ministry sees shuffle of posts, CK Mishra appointed the new Health Secretary

New Delhi:The Health Ministry has undergone some high level shifts at 'Secretary' positions.The bureaucratic reshuffle has Mr. CK Mishra  appointed as  the new Health Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. A 1983 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, Mishra was earlier an additional Secretary with the Health Ministry. His current position comes as a promotion.


Mr. BP Sharma who has been replaced by Mr. Sharma has been shifted as Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Mr. Sharma from the Bihar cadre, is a 1981 entrant into the IAS .


NS Kang, a 1983 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre, presently with the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), has been upgraded to the position of Secretary and Director General.
