Appointments made at NMC boards! Apex Body announces new Central Public Information Officers, First Appellate Authorities
National Medical Commission (NMC)
New Delhi: Through a recent order, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has notified about the newly designated Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) and First Appellate Authorities (FAAs) for the four autonomous boards of the Commission.
As per the office order dated 02.05.2025, Under Secretary Smt. Leena George and Director Sh. Sukh Lal Meena have been appointed as the CPIO and FAA at the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB), whereas, at the Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB), these positions will be held by Under Secretary Smt. Rita Singh and Director Sh. C.K. Ramaswamy respectively.
For the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB), NMC has designated Under Secretary Sh. Pankaj Kumar as the CPIO of UG-MARB and Under Secretary Sh. Subodh Kumar as the CPIO of PG-MARB. Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary Sh. Anupam Anish Chauhan and Director Sh. Arun Kumar Singh have been designated as the FAA at the UG-MARB and PG-MARB respectively.
The Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) also has two CPIOs and two FAAs. While Under Secretary for Registration Sh. Manish Kumar Mittal and Under Secretary for Ethics Sh. Subodh Kumar have been appointed as the CPIOs at the NMC Ethics Board, the FAAs include Director Sh. Ashok Kumar and Deputy Secretary Sh. Dharmender.
Apart from the Autonomous Boards, NMC has also notified about the CPIOs and FAAs at the Establishment Section of NMC, Dak Section, General Administration, Accounts Section, Policy & Co-ordination Section, Vigilance Section, and IT Section of the Commission.
"The RTIs related to Legal Division NMC Hqrs, Publication Division, and Hindi Cell of NMC, will be disposed of by the Nodal Officer of RTI Cell (Smt. Namrata Kumari) by taking inputs from the Divisions concerned," NMC's office order further mentioned.
