New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has set 21st February 2024 as the deadline for submitting the admission data for the super-specialty courses.

The Postgraduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the Commission has notified that the online portal for filling up the details shall remain open from 17th to 21st February 2024.

NMC set the deadline after taking into account that as per the Schedule for Special Round of All India Counselling for NEET Super Speciality Courses, the Super-speciality students were told to report by 17.02.2024.

Referring to this, the NMC PG Board mentioned in the notice issued on 16th February, "As per the Schedule for Special Round of All India Counselling (Allotment Process) for NEET Super Specialty Courses issued by Medical Counselling Committee, the students for Super Specialty Courses have to report by 17.02.2024."

"Accordingly, all the Medical Colleges/ Institutes in India under the Commission are hereby informed that the online portal for filling up the details of candidates who took admission in Super Specialty Courses, shall be opened from 17 th to 21st February, 2024," it further added.

Advising the colleges to fill in the requisite data in the stipulated time, the Apex Medical Commission further clarified that "No physical/manual data will be accepted whatsoever is the reason."

"The onus of furnishing true, correct and authentic information is upon the College concerned and in case of furnishing of any wrong/incorrect information it shall be open to NMC to initiate action as is permissible in law," NMC mentioned.

"In case of any difficulty in accessing NMC website an email may be sent to support.pgmonitoring@nmc.org.in and the Commission office shall revert within 02 working days to resolve the query/issue," it further added in the notice.

Medical Dialogues had previously reported that earlier this year, the PG Board of NMC had asked the medical institutes to fill in the requisite NEET-SS admission data between 5th to 10th January 2024.

However, earlier this month, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) issued a notice regarding the conduct of a special round for unfilled DM/M.Ch and DNB SS seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) by MCC. Subsequently, another notice was issued, permitting candidates allocated from INI-SS to submit their resignations.

MCC notified all eligible candidates for NEET SS 2023 that a special round would be conducted by the competent authority to fill the vacant D.M/ M.Ch/ DNB SS seats remaining after Round 2 of SS Counseling 2023 of AIQ. This step was taken to prevent the wastage of previous medical seats.
