NMC extends deadline for eligible faculty to apply to assessor pool for medical college inspections
New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for submission of willingness by eligible faculty members for the creation of an Assessor Pool to conduct inspections of medical colleges across the country.
The extension has been announced by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) under NMC.
According to the public notice issued by MARB, the revised timeline allows an additional 15 days from the date of upload of the notice on the NMC website for eligible faculty members to fill out the prescribed Google Form and submit their willingness to participate in inspection activities.
The Medical Assessment & Rating Board (MARB) carries out inspection of Medical Colleges in accordance to the MARB Regulations made under NMC Act 2019.
"It is to intimate that MARB will start the inspection process in due course for Academic Year (A.Y.) 2026-27 for various UG and PG applications for which faculty from various Government Medical Colleges will be engaged as Assessors for conducting the inspections. The same group of assessors may be used for any additional inspections conducted by MARB other than UG and PG applications," the earlier notice had stated.
The travel time for the inspections, as well as the day of inspection, will be treated as on duty. The travel and lodging expenses and renumeration will be borne by the NMC.
