National Medical Commission
New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the deadline for starting new postgraduate medical courses, setting up new standalone PG institutes, and increasing the seats in existing PG medical courses for 2025-2026.
While previously, the last date to receive applications was October 17, 2024, now the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) of the Commission has decided to extend the deadline to November 08, 2024.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported MARB on 18.09.2024 had issued a notice inviting applications for starting new PG medical courses in an established medical institution, establishing a new PG medical institute (standalone PG institute), and increase of seats in existing PG medical courses for the upcoming academic year.
Back then, NMC had informed that online applications can be submitted on the web portal of the official NMC website till 17 October 2024. Referring to the MARB notice, NMC wrote to the Directors/Principals/Deans & HoDs of all medical colleges/Institutes under the Commission asking them to strictly adhere to the notice issued by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board.
