NMC gives deadline to Medical Colleges to submit PG medical, Super Speciality admissions info online

Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed all the medical colleges to online fill the information relating to the admission made in medical college/ postgraduate institutes for postgraduate medical broad specialty and super specialty courses based on NEET PG 2022 and NEET SS 2022 counselling.

Medical Counselling Committee had announced that a special stray vacancy round for the vacant PG (MD/MS/ Diploma) seats will be conducted, with the last admission date being 14th January 2023. Further, the state counseling authorities also have to complete the process of admission/counseling for the State Quota by 14th January 2023. Also, the students for super specialty courses had to report by 12th January 2023 after the 2nd round of counseling.

As per the notice, all the medical colleges/ institutes in India under the commission have been asked to note that the online portal for filling up the details of candidates who took admission in PG broad specialty and super specialty courses will be reopened from 13th January 2023 to 17th January 2023.

The colleges must fill in the requisite data within the stipulated time. No physical/ manual data will be accepted whatsoever, is the reason, the NMC stated.

Earlier, the NMC extended the deadline for the medical colleges for filling up online details/data of students enrolled for 1st year MBBS degree for the academic year 2022-23.

The apex medical board has extended the deadline up to January 16, 2023, after taking note of the fact that the medical colleges did not upload the data within the stipulated time.

"Thus, as a one time measure the date of uploading said data in the NMC portal is once again extended till 16.01.2023. You are, therefore, requested to upload data/details in respect of all the students enrolled for the MBBS degree by your medical colleges by the target date i.e. 16th January, 2023 on priority basis," NMC UG Medical Education Board mentioned in the notice dated January 10, 2023.

National Medical Commission (NMC) is an Indian regulatory body of 33 members which regulates medical education and medical professionals. The Commission grants recognition of medical qualifications gives accreditation to medical schools, grants registration to medical practitioners, monitors medical practice, and assesses the medical infrastructure in India.
