NMC Nod to 50 MBBS seats at Odisha's Jajati Keshari Medical College
Bhubaneswar: Bringing good news to the MBBS aspirants seeking admission to Odisha-based medical colleges this year, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 50 MBBS seats at the newly established Jajati Keshari Medical College and Hospital (MCH) in Odisha's Jajpur.
The institute will reportedly commence MBBS course from this academic session following approval from the Medical Assessment & Rating Board (MARB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC), as per PTI report. While the institute initially applied for 100 MBBS seats, the NMC approved only 50.
"Happy to share that 50 MBBS seats have been approved by National Medical Commission (NMC), MARB, New Delhi for the academic year 2024-25 for the new government MCH at Jajpur," Health and Family Welfare Department posted on X recently.

The Letter of Permission (LoP) has been issued by the NMC, making it the 12th government MCH in the state and the first to start operations this year.

As per the data given by the former MOS Health in parliament this year, Odisha has 2525 MBBS seats across 17 medical colleges.
