PG Medical Annual Declaration: NMC Extends Submission Deadline with Penalty

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Medical Commission (NMC) Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) has extended the last date for submitting the annual declaration report for PG medical courses. However, the extension comes with a penalty of Rs 20000 plus 18 per cent GST per each course for the medical colleges who are yet to submit the report to the NMC.
In its notice to the Directors/Principals/Deans of All Medical Colleges/Institutions regarding, the Extension of last date for submission of PG Annual Declaration Report in respect of PG Medical courses, the apex commission mentioned that some requests have been received from Government Medical Colleges for an extension of the last date for submitting the PG Annual Declaration Report.

"This matter has been examined comprehensively in the Board with the recommendation of the Secretary, NMC. It has been decided to extend the last date by 15 days for submission of the Report of MSMER with a penalty of Rs. Twenty thousand plus GST (i.e. Rs 20,000/- plus 18% GST)per each course," it stated.
"It may be noted that no more extensions will be given after 7th December 2024. The terms and conditions mentioned in the original Notice dated 01 October 2024 shall remain the same. All the concerned Colleges/Institutions are requested to take necessary action and strictly adhere to the same," the notice further said.
