Hyderabad University Signs pact with NIMS, Apollo Hospitals to facilitate health research
Hyderabad: A memorandum of understanding has been signed between University of Hyderabad and Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) at the inaugural session of the BioQuest 2016.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manohar, Director, NIMS, stressed the importance of translational research and interaction among scientists and clinicians to bring new and effective medicine for various life threatening diseases.
In addition, a Letter of Understanding (LOA) was exchanged between UoH and Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation (AHERF), according to a release from UoH.
Seemant Jauhari, CEO, AHERF mentioned about significance of health care research and innovations for developing better cost effective treatment. He explained about the various business models in health care research and innovation. These MOUs will facilitate the faculty of UoH to interact with clinician for conducting joint research projects; organising seminars/workshops/training programs and conduct project works for MD/Ph D students.
