New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi have announced vacancies for the post of Senior Resident on an ad hoc basis in various hospital departments. The selection will be based on the interview.

Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has regularly upgraded its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects to all the specialties.

The Vacancies are in the Departments of Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Bio-Chemistry, Cancer Surgery, Cardiology, Community Medicine, CTVS, Endocrinology, ENT, Forensic Medicine, Hematology, Lab Oncology, Medical Oncology, Medicine, Microbiology, Nephrology, Neuro Surgery, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Paediatrics Surgery, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, Psychiatry, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Renal Transplant, Respiratory Medicine, Surgery and Urology.

The date of walk-in-interview is 16th, 17th, 18th, 20th and 21st March 2023.

Venue and Reporting time:- from 09.00 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the Academic Section, Room no.14, Ground Floor, VMMC Building New Delhi-110029.

How to Apply For Eligible Candidates?

Eligible candidates will present themselves for registration on the date of the walk-in interview.

They must bring the original certificate/documents at the time of registration along with one set of self-attested copies of all documents in support of their candidature for the post and one recent passport size photograph & duly filled Application form as per Annexure-I. Application form as per Annexure-I can be downloaded from our official website.

The candidate must bring the following original certificates at the time of the interview-

a. Certificate in support of age (10th certificate)

b. Registration with DMC for both MBBS and PG.

c. Mark sheets of MBBS / BDS / MD /MS / DNB /MDS (all years).

d. Internship Completion Certificate.

e. MD/MS/DNB/Diploma Pass & Experience Certificate.

f. SC/ ST/OBC certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India.

g. EWS candidates are to submit a copy of the Income & Asset Certificate as per given Annexure-III having date of issue on or after 01.04.2022 (valid for year 2022-23) vide OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dated 31.01.2019 of DOPT, Ministry of Personal & Public Grievance & Pensions, New Delhi.

h. Undergraduate and postgraduate attempt certificate.

i. Experience certificate, if any.

j. No Objection Certificate, if employed in Central Govt / State Govt / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies.
