New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi have announced vacancies for the post of Junior Resident on an ad hoc basis in various departments.

Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects to all the specialties.

Instructions for Eligible Candidates?

Application should be submitted in DIARY & DISPATCH SECTION of this institution (Near Gate no. 2 and Near Bank of Baroda Safdarjung Hospital Branch). The application send by post must be having written prominently on the top of the envelope “Application for the post of Junior Resident (Non-PG) MBBS / BDS.” LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IS 22.11.2024 TILL 03:00 P.M.

1. Applications as per given format should be accompanied by self-attested copies of (I) Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council (For MBBS) and Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Dental Council or State Dental council (For BDS) (II) Internship Completion Certificate (III) one passport size photograph (IV) EWS Certificate & Caste Certificate issued by the Tehsildar or above rank officer of Govt. of India or PWD (One Leg / One Arm / Both Orthopaedics) Certificate from government hospital (if any) (V) FMGE Certificate for FMG candidates.

2. DMC registration receipt (For MBBS) and DDC or State Dental Council registration receipt (For BDS) will be considered but original registration required before the joining, if selected.

3. Undertaking must be signed by the candidate. Junior Residency (House Job) done previously, If so, period, department name and name of Institution in application format.

4. Incomplete /Unsigned / Scan signature / without self-attested application will be rejected and no communication will be entertained in this regard.

5. Seats are reserved for EWS, SC, ST, OBC & PWD (One Leg / One Arm / Both Orthopaedics) as per Central Govt. Job / DOPT instruction.

6. (i) For EWS & OBC Candidates please attach certificate from appropriate authority, which is meant for the post under the Central Government of India, and OBC Candidates must Certified that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of Certificate should be after 01.04.2024. (ii) For SC, ST - certificate should be issued by Tehsildar or above rank officer in format of State Govt / Central Govt. of India.

7. Those who have already done one year (Non-PG) Junior Residency in any Govt. Hospital will not be considered and need not apply.

8. Only applications in response to this advertisement and OBC Certificate in prescribed Performa as per given format will be considered and the name of suitable candidate as per criteria given above will be displayed on the website www.vmmc-sjh.mohfw.gov.in

Note: - Application fees of Rs. 500/- for general candidates and Rs. 250/- for OBC candidates & no fees required for EWS/SC/ST/PWD candidates. Application fees to be paid through NEFT & RTGS or online transferred. Application fee once remitted shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
