Durgapur: The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL Durgapur) West Bengal has released 36 vacancies for General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) and Specialist posts. The selection will be done on the basis of the interview.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is one of the largest steel-making companies in India and one of the Maharatna's of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. SAIL produces iron and steel at five integrated plants and three special steel plants, located principally in the eastern and central regions of India and situated close to domestic sources of raw materials. SAIL manufactures and sells a broad range of steel products.

Medical Officer- Occupational Health -01 

Specialists - 12

The Vacancies are in the Department of - Biochemistry, ENT, Gynae. & Obst, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Surgery, Public Health, Plastic Surgeon, and Blood Bank.

MODE OF SELECTION:

(i) Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an interview for the posts of Medical Specialist (E-3).

(ii) Eligible candidates for the post of Medical Officer (E-1) will be required to appear in the Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT) in English on the appointed date to be intimated later on. The information regarding the test center will be provided in the Admit Card/Call letter. No request for change of examination centre will be entertained. But, DSP/SAIL reserves the right to cancel or add any center. Candidates, who qualify in the Written Test/CBT, will be shortlisted for Interview in order of merit, in the ratio of 1:3. However, candidates may be required to appear for an interview directly (without Written Test / CBT) in case sufficient numbers of applications are not received for the post as per the policy of the company.
