Kerala: The Employees State Insurance Corporation Hospital (ESIC Hospital Kerala) has announced vacancies for Specialist, Super Specialist and Senior Residents posts on a Contractual Basis in different departments.

ESIC is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

ESIC Vacancy Details:

Total no of vacancies: 33

Super Specialist:- 03

The vacancies are in the Department of Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Neurology.

Specialist:- 09

The vacancies are in the Department of General Medicine, ICU, Orthopedics, Casualty, and Anaesthesiology.

Senior Residents:- 21

The vacancies are in the Department of Cardiology, Nephrology, Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, ICU, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Casualty.

Date of Walk-in-Interview:- 11th JULY 2025.

Venue and Reporting time of Interview:- ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam at 9.00 AM.

What are the Terms and Conditions for Candidates?

The selection will be based on qualification, experience & interview.

The interview will be conducted at ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam. The applicants should bring along application in the prescribed proforma, all original documents including caste certificate (if applicable), one set of Xerox copies of all original documents, two recent passport size photographs (one affixed on the application) and the requisite application fee in the form of demand draft at the time of interview.

1. Application Fee (For All Posts) – Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) for General & OBC Candidates and Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty only) for SC/ST candidates by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Employees’ State Insurance Fund – Account No 1 payable at Kollam.

2. PWD/Female applicants are exempted from Application Fee.

3. Those who belong to OBC/SC/ST category should produce valid caste certificate issued by the Tahasildar/ Revenue Divisional Officer. OBC certificate should be in the prescribed form as per Government of India PARTFileNo.:542/A/46/12/06/2008/MHA/Admn-Vol3 I/2721567/2025 instructions which should certify that the candidates do not belong to Creamy layer. Candidates applying in PWD Category must possess disability certificate issued by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board of the State or Central Government Hospitals/Institutions.

4. The selection will be based on qualification, experience & interview. The interview will be conducted at ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam. 5. Candidates who have already completed Senior Residency for 3 years in any Central Institutions are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.

6. Private practice of any kind will not be allowed except for Part time Superspecialists/Part time Specialists.

7. No TA/DA will be admissible for Interview.

8. Vacancies indicated above may change as per actual requirement on the date of interview.

9. Canvassing in any form shall be a disqualification.

10. The Selected Specialist/Super Specialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period of contractual engagement. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of error and omissions committed by them while rendering professional services. The minimum sum assured per annum should be (1) Rs. 30 lakh for Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc. (2) Rs. 20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynecologists, Obstetricians etc. (3) For Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists etc. it should be at least of Rs. 10 lakhs. A copy of the Insurance & Premium and receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.

11. The appointing authority reserves the right to terminate the service of appointee at any time even before the tenure without assigning any reason by giving one month notice or immediately in case of any disciplinary action. Similarly, the engaged person will have to give one month prior notice before resigning or will have to pay an amount equivalent to one month’s remuneration in lieu of the notice period.

12. The appointing authority reserves the right to cancel the offer/advertisement without assigning any reason thereof.

13. In case of selection, the candidate has to enter into an agreement with Medical Superintendent, ESIC Model & Super specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs 200/-. The selected candidate has to submit a security deposit of Rs 15000/- as DD in favour of ESIC Account No 2 payable at Kollam at the time of joining, which is refundable after successful completion of contract & production of no-due certificate.

14. In case of applicants who are working in Central government/State government institutions, NOC should be obtained from the authority concerned and to be submitted in due course.

15. Part time Engagement of one contractual employee in two ESIC hospital at the same time shall not be permissible.

16. PWD candidate will be selected against suitable/notified posts as per government rules.
