New Delhi: The Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi has announced Vacancies for the Senior Resident posts on a Contract Basis in various specialities in this medical institute. 

LHMC, which is one of India's oldest and most established medical colleges, is undergoing a major infrastructural change under the Comprehensive Redevelopment Project to meet the modern-day health needs of the patients and the educational needs of the students studying here. This Medical and Nursing College was the first Medical College to be built in Delhi soon after it became the capital on being shifted from Calcutta in 1912.

Total no of vacancies: 139

The vacancies are in the Department of - Anesthesia, Neonatology, Medicine, Neurology, Pediatrics Medicine, Surgery, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Radio diagnosis, Radiotherapy, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Physical Medicine Rehabilitation, Forensic Medicine, Pathology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Physiology, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Anatomy, and Community Medicine.

Date of Walk-in- Assessment Start is 26th May 2022 till 8th June 2022.

Mode of Selection:

Selection will be made on the basis of combined merit marks during the written examination and interview. If there is a tie in the merit score, the rank will be decided on the basis of the date of birth. The candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.

What are the General Instructions for the Candidates?

i. Eligible candidates will present themselves for registration from 10.15 am to 11.30 am in Convocation Hall (near Director's Office) on the day specified for a written test of the particular speciality along with all relevant documents in original together with self-attested copies of all documents in support of their candidature for the post, two passport size photographs and complete Bio-Data duly filled and a photo ID. Separate applications along with fees are required to be submitted for each speciality. No application of the candidate will be received after 11:30 A.M. A MCQ type written examination will be held on the date of registration at 02:00 P.M. on the stipulated day of the Assessment at Examination Hall (Academic Section), New Academic Block.

ii. Undertaking in the application form must be signed by the candidate.

iii. Crucial date of determination of eligibility with reference to age, educational qualification, experience, etc. will be the date of registration of the candidates.

iv. Candidates must be registered with the Delhi Medical Council.DMC certificate for both MBBS and PG is mandatory with the application. However, the candidates, who have applied for registration with DMC and have enclosed receipt of DMC, will be allowed to appear in the written examination provisionally and they will be allowed to join, if selected, after production of a certificate of registration with DMC.

v. The tenure of Senior Resident is for three years including any service rendered as Senior Resident earlier on an ad-hoc/regular basis in any Institution. Under no circumstances, the total period of Senior Residency shall exceed three years; at the time of joining in LHMC initially, the appointment letter will be issued for one year only. Further extension will be granted on the basis of a satisfactory performance report from HOD.

vi. Other service conditions will be applicable as prescribed by the Govt. of India from time to time.

vii. The candidate who is already in Govt. Service should submit NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from the present employer at the time of registration.

viii. Inter-hospital/ Inter-Institution transfer shall not be permitted.

ix. Candidate must bring the following original certificates with photocopies of self-attested at the time of registration/counselling/interview:

a. Certificate in support of age (10th Certificate)

b. Experience certificate, if any.

c. Registration certificates with Delhi Medical Council/receipt of registration.

d. Mark Sheets of MBBS/MD/MS/DNB (all year).

e. MD/MS/Diploma Pass & Experience Certificate

f. Internship Completion Certificate.

g. Undergraduate/Postgraduate attempt certificate.

h. Proof of prize/medal/Distinction during Under-Graduation and Post-Graduation.

i. Proof of Publication.

j. Proof of Presenting Paper in the conference.

k. EWS certificate issued by the competent authority as per DOPT for GOI job,

I. SC/ST/OBC Caste certificate in the prescribed format by Govt. of India.

m. Caste/ community/disability certificate where applicant ie.

n. Identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Voter Card, Driving license, Passport, etc.
