Chandigarh: The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI Chandigarh) has released vacancies for the post of Senior Resident on an Ad hoc Basis initially for a period of 3 months For the Department of Pediatrics in this institute.

PGI Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence that would endeavor to develop patterns of teaching in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine.

The vacancies are in the Department of - Pediatrics.

Date of Walk-in-Interview: 7th April 2022.

Venue and Reporting Time of Interview: The office of the Head, Department of Pediatrics, Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh at 2.30 PM.

What are the Note for Candidates?

The candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria. are requested to attend the same with their bio-data in triplicate along with all the original documents/certificates one set of CV, photocopy of certificates, and the latest colored passport size photograph on the date, time, and venue mentioned above. No TA/DA shall be paid by the Institute for appearing in the said interview.

PGIMER was also envisaged that these specialists would spread out in the country in various medical colleges and medical institutions and impart medical education of the highest standard to the students and set up a nucleus of excellence in their own institutions. The PGIMER was also given the responsibility to broaden the horizons of medical knowledge by intensive research in the field of health. PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab, and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
