New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi have announced vacancies for the post of Junior Resident on an ad hoc basis in various departments.

Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects to all the specialties.

Total no of Vacancies: 62

The Vacancies are in the Departments of Blood Bank, Oncology Surgery, Casualty, Comunity Medicine, Endocrinology, Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Haematology, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics Surgery, Paediatrics, Respiratory Medicine, Physical Medical and Medicine, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, and Urology.

Date of Walk In Interview:- 6th April 2023.

Venue and Reporting Time of Interview: OLD Lecture Theatre, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi-110029 From 09:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

Instructions for Eligible Candidates?

Interested and eligible candidates should report with the following original documents: -

(I) Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council

(II) Internship Completion Certificate (on or after 01.01.2021)

(III) one passport-size photograph

(IV) EWS Certificate or Caste Certificate or PWD (One Leg / One Arm / Both Orthopaedics) Certificate from a government hospital (if any). (For EWS & OBC Candidates please submit a certificate copy from the appropriate authority, which is meant for the post under the Central Government of India, and Certify that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. The date of issue of the Certificate should be after 01.04.2022.)

Candidates are also required to submit self-attested copies of the above-mentioned documents. Registration will be done from 09:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M on the date of the interview at OLD Lecture Theatre. No candidate will be entertained after 11:00 A.M.
