JP Nadda calls for state support in implementation of the governments comprehensive immunization program for children, now entering phase 2

In order to increase the efforts of states in implementation of the governments comprehensive immunization program for children, now entering phase 2, Union Health Minister JP Nadda has sought support from state health ministers to boost the initiative.

Phase 2 of the project will be launched on October 7 this year in selected medium districts of the country.

The Ministry launched Mission Indradhanush, depicting seven colours of the rainbow, to immunise all children against seven vaccine preventable diseases -- Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Childhood Tuberculosis, Polio, Hepatitis B and Measles in December last year, as reported by PTI.

"Your leadership and personal involvement during phase one have been crucial determinant of the impressive results we have achieved. I request you to continue to guide the special drive and support phase two of Mission Indradhanush to help make it possible that each and every child is fully immunised in the country," Nadda said in his letter.
