In focus to review administrative procedures in the hospital for serious health outbreaks, and in check with the administrative staff
After all the hue and cry in the Delhi healthcare circles, the health ministry has raised its antenna to take an immediate review of the situation. A surprise visit by Union health minister JP Nadda to RML is one such step in this direction. His visit this time was marked by single-fold objective of checking the preparedness of dengue in RML, as well as ensuring the availability of platelets and hygiene in the hospital. This is indeed an offshoot of growing rainfall menace in the city, which leads to mosquito infection becoming a bigger concern.
During his visit, JP Nadda is also reported to have inspected various wards and pharmacy, to interact with patients and to learn first-hand their real experience in the state-run hospital. He also issued important instructions to the like to put on display available and non-available medicines so that people can get informed every day. The minister also visited the blood bank, casualty and trauma centre, and checked on waste management facility at the hospital. The minister has asked them to involve NGOs under 'Kayakalp' to ensure better services.
