Karnataka Doctors Strike Day 7: #lepanga #stipendhike roars over social media
A sunday has not deterred the resident doctors striking for the stipend hike in Karnataka. Thoughout the state, doctors continue to protest, in a hope that the authorities will hear to their demands and consider them. With the strike under the banner of Karnataka Association of Resident Doctors going through its day 7, the doctors increased their efforts in contacting the authorities. Social media messages with #lepanga and #protestforhike have been flowing over social media platforms. Today saw another mass communication campaign with messages and emails of plea being directed towards Karnataka State Ministers, MLAs, MPs and even the media. Even twitter saw thousands of residents tagging the CM, Member of media channels, even the PMO in their respective tweets.
With the day coming to an end, they are yet to receive any response. Hopefully, Monday, being a working day for the authorities will bring out some working response.
