Karnataka govt to soon recruit 1500 doctors to fill vacancies
Bengaluru: State government will soon recruit over 1500 doctors, which remained vacant in the state-run Hospitals soon, Health minister B Sreeramulu, informed here on Thursday.
Addressing newsmen after assuming office in the Vidhana Soudha, today, the minister said that “I have plans to bring a sea-change in the department”.
Recalling that he had worked as the Health minister in 2009, Mr Sreeramulu said that “While filling the vacancies of government Doctors posts, who are already offered high salaries, priority would also be given to recruiting Specialised Medicos”.
Maintaining that he has knowledge over the functioning of the Government hospitals, the minister said that “More focus would be given to improve the infrastructure facilities to Doctors, Para-medical staff, like hostel facilities and accommodation to those who come tending to the patients, canteens and toilets”.
