Mangaluru: In a shocking incident, a 35-year-old assistant professor associated with Yenepoya Medical College, Deralakatte was recently found dead at his residential quarter built in the campus of the medical college.

The deceased professor is identified as Dr Kumar, who was working in the oral radiology department. He was last seen on Friday  19th July 2019, while he was at work in the medical college as usual and returned to the quarters allotted him in the said campus.

The next day was an off for the medical college. It has been reported that the housekeeping staff approached the deceased professor's room and rang the bell. However, no response was received in return. Assuming that the professor might have left for his native place, the housekeeping staff did not suspect anything unusual.
