Khoon Chuswa Gang: Doctor caught Red Handed robbing youngsters of their blood

The accused have been identified as Akash (33) and Dr Prabhakar Singh (40). The police said that the other members of this vicious group would be nabbed soon.

The matter came to light when one of the victims came forward and filed a complaint with the police. The complainant informed that most victims did not report the matter since they were later paid Rs 500 in exchange for the blood extracted from their body while they were sedated against their will.

According to the police officials, they laid a trap for the duo on the basis of a tip-off received from local residents, who saw Akash luring a child to Dr Singh’s clinic by offering him a toffee. After the alert, the officials rushed to the spot and caught both Akash and the doctor extracting blood from the victim, who was sedated at that time.

When asked about the modus operandi of the gang, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar said told HT, “Akash was entrusted with the task of luring youngsters to the clinic, where they would be sedated against their will. The victims would all be given Rs 500 after the procedure, thereby buying their silence.”

Certain sources informed that after extracting blood, the gang would sell it to a hospital located near a national highway in Santkabeernagar district.

Meanwhile, the accused duo has been booked under sections 328 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). While section 420 corresponds to charges of cheating, section 328 covers offenses relating to causing hurt by means of poison.
