KIMS and SGRH forge partnership in Odisha

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH), New Delhi have come together to provide healthcare services in Odisha at their doorstep.

Under this collaboration, SGRH will strive to provide best healthcare services to the people with high end medical expertise and treatment facilities. Some of these technology featured healthcare service including, Robotic Surgery, Kidney, Liver & Heart Transplant, Complicated Heart Surgeries in children, minimally invasive surgery of spine (Keyhole surgery of spine)  is absent in Odisha .

The announcement coincided with a special health camp organised at the premise of KIMS on December 06. As a part of this initiative, over 200 patients were also examined by the doctors.

Senior doctors from SGRH - Dr. Naimish Mehta, Senior Liver Transplant Surgeon; Dr. Shankar Acharya, Senior Consultant, Department of Orthopedic & Spine Surgery; Dr. Raja Joshi, Chairperson, Pediatric Cardiac Sciences; Dr. D. S. Rana, Chairman, Department of Nephrology; and Prof. Arvind Kumar, Director, Institute of Robotic Surgery - provided expert consultation to patients at the first of its kind OPD programme, were present at the inaugural occasion.

Senior Consultants in various specialities also conducted a medical education program for 300 doctors from different parts of Odisha.
