Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Medical Council has initiated action against one Bhopal based Medical Practitioner on account of violations of the Pre-Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques ( PC-PNDT Act).

This comes after a charge sheet was filed against him in a local court for violations of the said act. The doctor, identified as Ashoka Garden based Dr Abhay Nattu has been suspended by the council, impending the court proceeding against the said doctor.

TOI reports that this is probably the first of its kind decision for the state medical council, and comes after a recent change in the MPMC act.
