Maharashtra: Doctors warned against Failure to Report DENGUE Cases

Maharashtra: Taking serious note of the upcoming monsoon and the expectant rise in dengue cases, the government officials in Maharashtra have issued advisories as well as warned all the doctors across the state against the failure to report each and every dengue case.
“Dengue is a notifiable disease… we will not hesitate to issue a notice to a doctor if he or she does not report a case,” Dr Vaishali Jadhav, assistant medical officer, Pune Municipal Corporation, told The Indian Express.
Joint Director of Health, Maharashtra, Dr M S Diggikar, said, “The advisories pertaining to the disease have also been sent to health officers of municipal corporations and district administrations.”
