Maharashtra: Seventh pass quack booked for running child delivery Centre
BHIWANDI: In yet another case of quack menace, a 48 year-old woman, identified as Naseem Sayyed has been booked by the authorities for allegedly running a child delivery centre in Bhiwandi. Sayyed is a 7th pass woman, and as been booked for cheating and under the relevant provisions of the medical practitioner act
The whole cheating case came into the light after health department of Bhiwandi-Nizampura municipal corporation learned about Naseem running an illegal delivery centre. With the help of the local police, the authorities raided her " Delivery Centre", arresting the woman and seizing all the equipment, medicines and injections at the centre.

S M Sonawane, police sub inspector told TOI, "The accused is only studied up to seventh standard and was running illegal delivery centre".
"The accused has done seven days course started by government in which woman was given practice about helping woman for delivery in interior villages", he added. The woman had been apparently running the said delivery centre since last 20 years. She has been sent to the judicial custody by the local court.
