MCI to visit medical college in Bihar
A 3-member team of MCI will visit Darbhanga Medical College to closely investigate a matter of ragging in which 19 students were issued orders of suspension
A 3-member panel team of Medical Council of India (MCI) is schedule to visit the Darbhanga Medical College in Bihar to closely monitor an incident of alleged ragging that took place at the college premise, earlier this month.
MCI is reportedly dissatisfied with the manner in which the case has been handled by the college administration. The case under discussion involved suspension of 19 students for the alleged ragging incident. However, as per the recent media reports, it later came to light that 16 were suspended on the ground of shortage of attendance and obtaining fewer marks in internal assessments. The other three students were still allowed to take their exams this academic session.
