4 SRN Hospital staff suspended over mismanagement allegations

In response to critical observations by the Allahabad High Court, four staff members of Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital, affiliated with Motilal Nehru Medical College (MLNMC), have been suspended over allegations of mismanagement and negligence.

According to news reports, the individuals suspended include the Deputy Superintendent (non-medical), a Staff Nurse, a contractual Male Nurse, and a Sanitation Inspector. Their suspension comes in response to the high court’s strong criticism on May 30, highlighting ongoing administrative chaos and deteriorating patient care standards at SRN Hospital.

Medical Dialogues had previously reported that the Allahabad High Court has raised serious concerns over the deteriorating medical facilities in the state, urging the government to take immediate action before the situation worsens. Hearing a PIL related to medical facilities in Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad High Court observed on Friday that though the state government has developed medical infrastructure in the capital, those living in other cities are being denied such help.
