In this video, we shine a spotlight on the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery.

This journal has shown an unprecedented 31% growth from 1.1 to 1.6, as recently released by CiteScore of Scopus. The Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery (JCAS) is an open access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of dermatosurgery and aesthetics published by Scientific Scholar.

We were joined by two esteemed guests:

🔹Professor (Dr.) Sandeep Arora, the editor-in-chief and a senior consultant dermatologist at Mehektagul Dermaclinic, New Delhi, India.

🔹Dr. Sunny Duttagupta, Director of Publishing at Scientific Scholar

Firstly, Dr. Arora discussed JCAS in detail, highlighting his academic/professional background and his journey in becoming the EiC of JCAS. Thereafter, Dr Sunny shares JCAS’s performance at the recently released CiteScore results and what this means to Scientific Scholar’s journal portfolio.

Dr. Sandeep focused on all the challenges faced by him as an editor-in-chief and all the strategies implemented to turn around the situation and lead the journal to global competitive success.

Lastly, the video emphasizes how Scientific Scholar is now the leading publisher, at least as far as the dermatology and cosmetic surgery profile is concerned in India, and what message they have for potential authors, editors, and societies, reflecting on the recent success of journals like JCAS.
