Fraud Entries Of Doctors Registration Found At Medical Council Online Database: Telangana Police

Fraud  rate has increased in the country, In the latest update regarding the fake MBBS degree scam in Telangana, the Hyderabad city police have collected the details of all the fraudulent entries regarding the details of the doctors' registration in the Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC) database.

According to a recent report by TOI, the registrar of the TSMC, Dr Ch Hanumantha Rao was recently called by the Police for obtaining more details regarding the TSMC employees and the fake entries in the database that manages the registration of the doctors.

Dr. S.P. Singh, Director of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology and principal of the MLN Medical College (MLNMC) in Prayagraj, has set a new record by conducting 107 phacoemulsification surgeries with intraocular lens (IOL) implant free of cost within a span of 16-and-a-half-hours. Phacoemulsification is a method of surgery in which the internal lens of the eye is emulsified with an ultrasonic handpiece and aspirated from the eye. the fluids are then replaced with a salt solution to maintain the anterior chamber.

Before the procedure, one or more incisions are made in the eye to allow the space for surgical instruments insertion. After which surgeon removes the anterior face of the capsule containing the lens.

Govt Allows Allura Red as Colour to Be Used in Medicines

Through a recent notification, amending the Drug Rules 1945, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has inserted Allura Red which chemical name is Disodium 6-hydroxy-5-[(2-methoxy-5-methyl-4- sulfophenyl)azo]-2-Naphthalenesulfonic acid as Coal Tar Colours to be used in drugs.

Allura red is a monoazo dye that is widely used as a synthetic food color in many countries around the world.
