Doctor denied anticipatory bail for allegedly submitting fake qualification certificate to Maharashtra medical council
Denying relief, a sessions court has refused to grant anticipatory bail to a 38-year-old doctor accused of submitting fake documents to the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) to falsely claim an additional qualification of ‘Diploma in Child Health’ from the College of Physicians & Surgeons (CPS). The court observed that his actions were contrary to the honour and integrity expected in the medical profession.
Additional sessions judge Anil D Salunkhe, in his order rejecting the plea, noted that the accused had not only deceived the MMC but also misled the public and violated legal norms.

Safdarjung hospital issues directive: No work-related social media posts
The administration of Safdarjung Hospital has issued a circular instructing staff not to post any unofficial content related to their work or job responsibilities on social media or instant messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. This directive aims to protect the hospital's reputation and prevent any negative reflections on the institution or its employees. The circular, issued by Deputy Director (Admin) Ashok Kumar Pal, emphasizes that violators could face disciplinary actions, including suspension or termination, under the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964.
The circular highlighted the importance of maintaining professionalism in all interactions, whether in person or online. It specifically prohibits content that could tarnish the hospital's reputation, unfairly criticize tasks assigned by supervisors, or use unofficial or inappropriate language. This policy applies to all digital communication channels ensuring comprehensive coverage of all platforms where information can be shared.

Protest in Hyderabad: Student unions urge NEET exam retake

Nearly 4,000 students and medical aspirants took to the streets in Hyderabad to protest against the alleged irregularities in NEET this year. The protesters demanded a re-conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET (UG) along with a CBI inquiry, citing significant irregularities in the examination process.

The protest was spearheaded by Varun Choudhary, the national president of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), who extended an invitation to all student bodies, including the Students' Federation of India (SFI), All India Students' Federation (AISF), Vidyarthi Jana Sabha (VJS), Progressive Youth Council (PYC), Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), All India Youth Federation (AIYF), Progressive Youth League (PYL), and Youth Justice Society (YJS), among others, to join the demonstration.
