A dental clinic in Hyderabad is presently facing charges of negligence after a 28-year-old groom-to-be, unfortunately, passed away during a smile enhancement procedure due to an alleged overdose of anaesthesia.
The father of the deceased claimed that his son died due to an excessive overdose of anaesthesia, accusing the clinic of medical negligence. He alleged that his son was administered anaesthesia during the dental procedure known as 'smile designing' and fell unconscious.

Fortis Hospital's medical miracle: Pregnant woman with spinal TB and paralysis cured
In what can be termed as a medical miracle, Fortis Shalimar Bagh reported a significant medical achievement with the treatment of a 28-year-old pregnant woman suffering from spinal tuberculosis and paralysis for seven months.
This was a very challenging and rare case. The patient was pregnant and was suffering from pain in her back for four months. Initially, the patient thought it to be pregnancy related pain, thus did not give much importance to it, but later that is the 6th month of her pregnancy, the patient developed weakness in both her legs and within 20 days both her legs were completely paralysed and she was bed-ridden.

Fortis Hospital Doctors Treat Pregnant Woman Suffering From Spinal TB, Paralysis
A National Centre on Ageing (Department of Geriatrics Medicine) will come up at the Institute of Medical Science (IMS), BHU, with PM Narendra Modi slated to lay the foundation stone of the centre during his proposed visit on Feb 23.
The Centre will be built with a budget of Rs 147.39 crore.
Talking to TOI, divisional commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma said with a budget of Rs 147.39 crore, the multi-storey building of centre will be constructed on an area of 2,045 square metre. It will have connectivity with super specialty hospitals to avail facilities of cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, urology, surgery and other departments for senior citizens.

NTA broadens NEET 2024 exam centers to 14 foreign cities
In a major relief to overseas candidates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) expanded the NEET 2024 examination centers by adding 14 new foreign cities abroad.
Medical Dialogues earlier reported that this year's NEET will not be conducted outside the country, and natiowide the exam cities have been increased from 499 from last year to 554 this year. Last year, the NTA conducted NEET 2023 in 14 exam centres abroad for admission to MBBS, BDS and other UG courses in Indian medical colleges.
