AIIMS and IIT Delhi have collaborated to develop cutting-edge elbow replacement implants that are both precise in fit, and of superior quality, the hospital said. Patients suffering from stiff elbow joints and limited mobility can benefit from this partnership, said Dr Bhavuk Garg from AIIMS, Delhi.

"Recognising the challenges faced by patients due to the high cost and inadequate quality of imported elbow replacement setups, this partnership aims to provide accessible, precise, and high-quality implants for elbow replacement surgeries," said Garg, Professor, Department of Orthopaedics.

300+ suspected food poisoning patients receive treatment on the go, viral video surfaces

In a case of suspected food poisoning, over 300 people including children reportedly received medical treatment while lying on the ground outside a hospital in Bibi village, Maharashtra.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night during a religious event in Buldhana district's Lonar area. The people complained of food poisoning after consuming 'prasad' and were administered saline bottles fitted on the trees outside the hospital.

8000+ Maharashtra resident doctors demand stipend increase and hostel accommodation, initiate strike

Around 8,000 resident doctors across the State of Maharashtra have commenced their pan-Maharashtra indefinite strike from today, as their demands regarding hostel accommodation and stipend hike have not been fulfilled despite written assurance from the Government authorities.

Confirming that the strike is on, the president of Central Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD), Dr. Abhijit Helge informed the media that the strike will commence today at 5 PM and at JJ Hospital Mumbai, the protest will begin at Khula Sabhagruha.

Supreme Court instructs the center to determine NEET MDS 2024 internship deadline

During the hearing of the plea seeking postponement of the NEET MDS 2024 exam, the Union Government informed the Supreme Court bench on Wednesday that it is looking into the grievances of the candidates regarding the extension of the internship deadline.

Considering this submission, the Apex Court bench did not pass any order on the plea seeking to postpone the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for the Master in Dental Surgery course (NEET-MDS) 2024 exam and demanding an extension of the internship completion deadline.

JIPMER resident accuses General Medicine HoD of harassment; Health Ministry orders inquiry

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued directions to the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) administration to immediately conduct a thorough investigation of a complaint of alleged physical and psychological harassment faced by a Junior Resident at the Department of General Medicine.

It was alleged by the resident doctor that he was physically and psychologically harassed by an authority at the department. He also alleged that he had to face discriminatory behaviour.
