Altogether 49,907 postgraduate medical seats across 68 specialities are available, revealed the seat matrix for the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counselling, recently released by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The updated NEET PG seat matrix has been notified by the Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Post Graduate Medical Courses (ACPPGMEC) on its official website.

MCC releases NEET 2025 Round 3 results, revises counselling schedule again

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has further revised the schedule of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 3rd and Stray Vacancy Round Counselling for the academic year 2025 for the All India Quota and State Quota seats.

The revised schedule has been released on the official MCC website.

As per the revised schedule, candidates can report to their seats from 24th October 2025 for round 3 admissions and stray vacancy round begins from November 4th.

NMC delays action against 30 doctors accused in pharma freebies case

Nearly 10 months have passed since the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) recommended disciplinary action against 30 doctors accused of accepting pharma-sponsored foreign trips worth Rs 1.91 crore to Monaco and Paris, the National Medical Commission (NMC) is yet to take a decision on the matter.

The case continues to remain under consideration with the Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB), which is currently facing vacancies in key positions.

UP hospital, doctor cleared of negligence charges after 25-year legal battle

The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) recently exonerated an UP-based hospital and doctor from charges of medical negligence while treating an injured patient, who died after treatment.

Even though the State Consumer Court had held the hospital and the treating doctor liable, after considering the evidence submitted, including the treatment documents, the Apex Consumer Court observed that there was no medical negligence.
