Delhi Hospital cleared in medical negligence case: NCDRC finds no delay by ophthalmologist in dengue eye injury
Reiterating the observations made by the Supreme Court, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) recently clarified that a simple lack of care, an error of judgment or an accident, is not proof of negligence by a medical professional.
As per the Apex Consumer Court presided by Justice Ram Surat Maurya and Mr. Bharatkumar Pandya negligence in the medical field is judged if an injury results from an act or omission.

NEET PG 2024 results controversy: Candidates allege normalisation formula errors, demand release of answer key
Controversy has erupted over the National Eligibility-and-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 exam results as some of the candidates, especially those who appeared in the second shift of the exam on August 11, 2024, have started questioning the transparency of the exam results.
Raising their doubts regarding the fairness of the NEET PG 2024 exam and also about the normalisation of scores policy adopted by the NBE, several candidates have urged the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to issue the answer key to the PG medical entrance test and disclose the details of the normalisation policy adopted by the authorities.

28 hospitals in Telangana booked for fraud related to CM relief fund
Altogether 28 hospitals across the State of Telangana have been booked by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) after a fraud concerning the Chief Minister's Relief Fund came to light.
Among these 28 hospitals, 10 hospitals are located in Hyderabad and the rest of the hospitals are situated in other districts in the State- 10 hospitals in Khammam, 3 hospitals in Nalgonda, 2 hospitals in Karimnagar, 1 in Warangal, and 2 hospitals in Mahabubabad.

Delhi hospital doctor assaulted and slapped by a patient and his attendants while on duty
Days after resident doctors resumed work following an 11-day nationwide protest in response to assurances from the central government that security forces at all hospitals will be increased up to 25%, an on-duty junior resident doctor recently became the subject of violence after he was allegedly abused and slapped by a patient and his attendants at Dr Hedgewar Hospital in Karkardooma.
According to the police, the patient became violent after he felt pain when the doctor was addressing his wounds. This led to an escalation of the situation, during which the doctor was reportedly slapped. Additionally, the patient's son and daughter, who were present at the scene allegedly abused the doctor and other hospital staff.

Maharashtra: Nursing student found unconscious in Ratnagiri accuses auto driver of spiking her water to rape her
After the brutal rape and murder of a PG trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata, another shocking incident of rape has been reported by Maharashtra's Ratnagiri. This time a 19-year-old nursing student of a private hospital in Ratnagiri was reportedly drugged and raped by an auto-rickshaw driver while she was returning home from hospital on Monday night.
