The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit cards for the NEET UG 2026 examination, scheduled to be held on May 3, 2026.

Candidates who have registered for the MBBS entrance exam can now download their hall tickets from the official website, ahead of the exam to be conducted in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Doctors Oppose 24-Hour OPD Proposal at AIIMS, Call It Violation of Labour Rights

Opposing the Parliamentary Committee's recommendations for 24-hour OPD services in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, the resident doctors at the institute have argued that round-the-clock OPDs are not only inhumane but also 'a blatant violation of basic labour rights.'

Referring to international labour standards and various judicial mandates prescribing a 48-hour work week, the AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) pointed out that resident doctors in India routinely work 80 to 100 hours a week.

Telangana High Court Denies Relief to MD Anaesthesiology Medico, Upholds Re-examination Rule

In a recent ruling, the Telangana High Court has upheld that a postgraduate medical student will have to re-appear for all four theory papers along with practical/clinical and viva voce examination in case he/she fails even one paper.

Referring to the provisions in the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations (PGMER) 2023, the HC bench comprising Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka observed that "The criteria for evaluation unequivocally stipulate that a candidate must secure not less than 50% marks in each head of passing, which includes theory as a whole, and further mandates that in each theory paper, a minimum of 40% must be secured.

Allahabad High Court Says Data Is Meaningless if Patients Lack Access to Ventilators

The Allahabad High Court on Wednesday raised serious concerns over the shortage of ventilators in hospitals, stating that data on ventilator availability becomes meaningless if patients cannot access them during emergencies.

During a hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL), a division bench of Justices Rajan Roy and Manjive Shukla questioned whether any hospital could state on affidavit that a ventilator would be provided promptly whenever required.
