NMC releases draft registered medical practitioner professional conduct regulations 2022

Addressing various issues of professional conduct of registered medical practitioners, the Ethics & Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has introduced Draft of National Medical Commission, Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2022.

While releasing the draft of the regulations, the NMC has invited comments from the public and stakeholders and the last date to send the comments is June 22.

RMO in Gujarat arrested for defaming UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre On Social Media  

A Resident medical officer (RMO) associated with a leading UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre has been arrested by the Ahmedabad cyber crime cell for allegedly trying to malign the image of the health facility by sharing "fake and fabricated" posts on social media.

Based on a complaint given by the management of the U N Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre (UNMICRC), the Cyber Crime Cell of the Ahmedabad police arrested Dr Kaushik Kumar.

445 new Covid-19 cases reported in delhi while argentina confirms its 1st case of monkey pox

In the past 24 hours, Delhi reports 445 new cases, 0 deaths, and 479 recoveries and has 1,627 active cases with a positivity rate of 2.04 percent.

Monkeypox have crossed 200-mark globally. Argentina on Friday confirmed Latin America's first known case of monkeypox.


Fresh mop up round for vacant DM neurology seat to be conducted: Kerala HC tells DGHS and MCC 

Taking note of the fact that a Super Specialty seat in DM (Neurology) at Government Medical College Kottayam was not included in the Mop up round of NEET SS counselling, the Kerala High Court has recently directed the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to conduct a fresh mop up round for the vacant seat.

The interim order of the HC in this regard read, "In the facts of the case, there will be an interim order directing respondents 1 and 2 to conduct a mop up counseling for the seat of DM (Neurology) available in the Government Medical College, Kottayam. It shall be done within a period of one week. This interim order will be provisional and subject to further orders of this Court."
