NTA issues exam city intimation slip for NEET 2023 candidates

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slip for NEET UG 2023 candidates.

The candidates must check/download their examination city intimation slip of NEET UG 2023 (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) from the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/ w.e.f. 30 April 2023, and go through the instructions in the information bulletin.

This is not the admit card for NEET UG 2023. This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the examination center will be located to facilitate the candidates. The admit card shall be issued later. The details related to admit card will be announced on the official website of NTA.

Website found promoting hypertension drug using fake testimony of Dr Naresh Trehan, police case registered

A police case has been registered against unknown persons behind a website who blatantly used a fake testimony of a prominent doctor, Dr Naresh Trehan, to promote a hypertension-easing drug.

Dr Naresh Trehan is a world-renowned Cardiovascular and Cardiothoracic Surgeon who is currently serving as a Chairman of Gurugram-based Medanta Hospital. He has been awarded the highly prestigious Padma Bhushan and the Padma Shri by the Government of India.

Rajamahendravaram Medical College to offer 150 MBBS seats this academic year

Giving medical aspirants a reason to celebrate, Andhra Pradesh State Medical, Health and Family Welfare Minister Viddala Rajini recently announced that admission process for Rajamahendravaram Medical College built at a cost of 475 crore with 150 MBBS seats will commence from this academic session 2023-24.

The announcement came after Rajini visited the construction site of the upcoming medical college on Monday. She informed the media that the state government has given the permission to commence classes in the Rajamahendravaram Medical College from this academic year. However NMC approval in this regard is pending.

NMC slams state govts for transferring medical teachers ahead of inspection

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has slammed the states/UT governments on the irregular practice of transferring faculty to medical colleges that lack sufficient strength of teaching staff just ahead of the NMC inspection and transferring them back to their respective institutes once the assessment is over.

Issuing a notification in this regard reiterating the responsibilities of medical colleges and norms for faculty requirements so that deficiency in teaching staff doesn’t occur, the NMC’s Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has asked the Departments of Medical Education of all the States and UTs to abide by the rules and not change posting of medical teachers in one academic year.
