Renowned Cardiologist Dr Mohan Nair no more
Renowned Cardiologist Dr Mohan Nair has passed away. Dr Nair, who was one of the most prominent Interventional Electrophysiologists in India, had more than 36 years of experience treating all types of cardiac ailments.
According to sources, he was alright till yesterday evening and was found dead at his residence around 11 AM. He is presumed to have had a massive ?myocardial infarction.
His expertise was in Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Electrophysiology including Complex ablation procedures under 3D mapping.

All foreign students and higher education institutes need to register on EducationINdia says NMC
In order to regularise the medical admissions of foreign students into Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in the country, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has now mandated that every international student who desires to take a seat in Indian HEls will have to register at the EducationINdia Portal. The HEIs have also been directed to register at the portal and upload the offer of admission issued in favour of students.

NMC reopens portal for medical colleges to submit Information of PG medical admissions
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has now reopened its portal for filling up the information related to the Postgraduate medical admissions for the special mop up round.
Issuing a public notice in this regard, the apex medical education regulatory body has informed that the portal shall be reopened from March 3 to March 7, 2023.
"Portal will also be open for Broad Specialty courses for those colleges which could not fill up the admission data previously due to technical problem or any other reason," further mentioned the PG Medical Education Board of the apex medical commission.

NMC invites applications for recognition for PG medical courses
The Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) has recently invited applications for recognition and renewal of recognition of PG medical courses during 2023.
In this regard, the NMC PG Board has recently written to the Registrar of all the medical universities in India and also the Dean and Principal of all the PG medical colleges under the apex medical commission.
