NEET 2022: MCC counselling to start on 11th October, 2022, details

The wait for NEET 2022 candidates is finally over, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has finally announced its counseling schedule, releasing the dates of NEET UG AIQ and States Counselling.

In a recent letter written by the ADG (ME) and Member, MCC to Sadhya Bhullar, Secretary MCC, Prof Dr Shrinivas, Member MCC informed about the counselling Schedule prepared by MCC and approved by the Health Ministry.

Govt fee for 50 percent seats in private medical colleges: Supreme Court to hear matter on October 21

While considering the plea challenging the National Medical Commission's order for implementing Government fees in private medical colleges, the Supreme Court decided on last Friday that the matter would be heard next on October 21, 2022.

Initially, while considering the matter, the top court bench comprising of Justice Chandrachud doubted the validity of the Office Memorandum of NMC that has been challenged.

Doctors need not disclose identity of minors seeking MTP: Supreme Court

In a significant judgment, the Supreme Court directed that in cases where minors seek termination of their pregnancy, Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) need not disclose the identity of the minor to the police, as is mandated under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act

The Supreme Court has extended the benefits of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act to minors who engage in consensual sexual activity by exempting doctors from disclosing their identity to the local police.

NPPA fixes retail price of 40 formulations including Dapagliflozin-Metformin FDC

Through a recent notice, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, has fixed the retail price of 40 new drugs, including those used to treat high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, certain types of stomach cancer, bacterial infections, and those used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, bone pain, and joint pain.
