NEET-PG 2021: DGHS tells SC no further rounds of counselling can be conducted, software closed
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has informed the Supreme Court that four rounds of online counselling for NEET-PG 2021 have been already conducted and 1,456 medical seats have remained vacant, as the software stands closed.
The DGHS said since the software is closed, further rounds of counselling could not be conducted to fill up the medical seats.

Spiking COVID-19 cases: India reports 7,240 new infections, 40 percent higher than yesterday
In the past 24 hours, India reported a sharp uptick of 7,240 coronavirus cases and eight deaths. India's current covid cases are 32,498.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 3,40,615 COVID-19 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 85.38 (85,38,63,238) crore cumulative tests. The weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 1.31 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 2.13 percent.
More than 1,000 monkeypox cases reported to WHO
Over 100 monkeypox cases have been reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) till now outside African countries.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the risk of monkeypox becoming established in these non-endemic countries was real, but preventable at this point.
