According to a recent report by HT, the case that goes back to 2011 came to light when Bhagwan Daulat Wakode, the driver of Aundh Hospital, filed a complaint with Sangvi Police Station. On November 30, 2010, the complainant's (then 22-year-old) daughter was admitted to the hospital for delivery while experiencing abdominal pain.

It was alleged that despite reporting her discomfort, the doctors did not pay heed to her abdominal pain while the nurses failed to communicate the critical information to the doctors. The woman gave birth to a stillborn due to the alleged negligence of the said doctors and nurses.
