In an alleged case of medical negligence, a six-month-old baby boy's finger was partially severed while hospital staff were removing an IV drip during the discharge, prompting police in Bengaluru to register an FIR against the nurse, doctor and private hospital management.

According to police, in his complaint, Vijay Kumar said that on February 19, he took his six-month-old child to a private hospital in Indiranagar here for consultation after he developed a fever and cold.
