AIIMS to offer PG course in Family Medicine at its six branches

In order to meet the current shortage of specialists in the country, the government has planned to commence an MD course in the speciality of Family Medicine at six branches of the premier All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Speaking to PTI about the development, official sources informed that the MD Family Medicine course will be first offered at AIIMS Raipur, Rishikesh, Jodhpur, Patna, Bhubaneswar and Bhopal campuses. Looking at the response, the course would be started in more hospitals across the country in due course of time.
