GMC Khammam faculty booked over ragging allegations, probe launched

In a shocking incident reported from Government Medical College in Khammam, a faculty has been booked for allegedly taking an MBBS student to a barber shop and getting his head tonsured. After the incident came to light, the government has ordered an inquiry.
According to recent media reports, the concerned faculty, an assistant professor, in-charge medical officer of the anti-ragging committee has been relieved from his hostel duties and the incident has also been brought to the attention of the Director of Medical Education.
