Fulfilling the long standing public demands, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has now given its approval for the Haveri Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) in Karnataka.

With the nod from the Apex Medical Body, the college will commence admissions in 150 medical seats from the academic years 2022-2023, adds TOI. NMC's nod comes after it visited the colleges, and inspected the arrangements made by HIMS. The college has temporarily arranged for the classes at the government engineering college classrooms.
