Health Ministry in favor of Non Medical Teachers

Non medical teachers are equally efficient and qualified to teach the future doctors. Providing major relief to the non-medical teachers with medical MSc/Ph.D. qualifications, the Union Health Ministry has altered the National Medical Commission's decision and has decided the apex medical regulator to follow the erstwhile Medical Council of India's rules for appointing non-medical teachers.
With this, non-medical teachers will be able to join as faculties in five non-clinical specialties to 30% extent (50% for biochemistry) of the total number of faculties- like older rules of MCI.
